Citizen Charter

A cooperative is a registered and democratically run economic organization with social involvement.

The word cooperative or cooperative shall not be used in the name of any organization or association or association without the approval of the Registrar and if anyone violates this Act, the person responsible shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding seven years or with fine not exceeding ten (ten) lakhs of rupees or with both.

A minimum of 20 (twenty) individual members is required for registration of a primary cooperative society.
